SwiftUI is an incredibly powerful framework for building user interfaces across all Apple platforms. While it shines for constructing standard UI components and layouts, SwiftUI also provides the flexibility to create truly custom views and effects.

Today, we’ll walk through building a unique layered effect that displays the Apple logo rendered within a larger icon. The result looks like this:

To achieve this, we’ll be combining a few different techniques in SwiftUI:

  1. ZStack for layering
  2. Linear gradients
  3. Blend modes
  4. Compositional effects
  5. Shadows

Let’s dive into the code:

struct ContentView: View {
var body: some View {
ZStack {
Image(systemName: "lanyardcard.fill")
.font(.system(size: 500))
colors: [.gray, .white],
startPoint: .bottomLeading,
endPoint: .topTrailing))

Image(systemName: "apple.logo")
.font(.system(size: 170))
.padding(.top, 100)
